Sports & Outdoors Inspection in China
Sports and outdoor gear is load-bearing by design, yet roughly 1 in 5 failures we catch is a hidden structural weakness — a weld, seam, or buckle that passes a glance but not a pull test. Our inspectors across the Xiamen, Ningbo, and Zhejiang sporting-goods clusters test to spec, not to appearance.
Early on we passed a shipment of folding camp chairs on visual and dimensional checks — clean welds, tight stitching, perfect print. Three weeks later the client had frame collapses in the field because the aluminum tube wall was 0.3mm under spec and the weld was cold on the inside. Now every load-bearing SKU gets a static load-to-rated-weight hold plus a caliper check on tube wall thickness — appearance never counts as strength.

Products We Cover
Most Common Defects We Find
Sports and outdoor products fail on a mix of structural, aesthetic, and safety issues — but the ones that cause returns and liability are almost always load-related, not cosmetic. Our most common findings by category:

A $310 during-production inspection caught cold welds on 1,800 adjustable dumbbell handles that had passed the factory's own visual QC. A static load-to-rated-weight hold failed at 60% of rated capacity. After rework and re-inspection the brand shipped on time and avoided a field-injury recall.
